The purpose of the Association “Les Amis de Mary Cassatt” is to honour and perpetuate the memory of Mary Cassatt. American painter, Mary Cassatt chose to settle in France where she was trough her talent and generosity, an important member of the art life in her time. We choose to create “ Les Amis de Mary Cassatt” Association (Mary Cassatt's Foudantion) to have a pertinent way to bring together individual energies, find new partnership, and rich the purpose we gave ourselves : honour and perpetuate the memory of Mary Cassatt. Since 2003, year of our creation, our action create a Mary Cassatt page in the Dakota guide of Picardie. We also create a Mary Cassatt Tour ( available in English) in the tourist map of Oise and a lecture about Mary Cassatt’s life (available in English too) included in the “Mary Casatt’s Day” of the tourism office of Beauvaisis. We gave this lecture in the Patrimoine Day in the chateau de Beaufrene where she lived. There are plenty of ways to honour and perpetuate the memory of Mary Casatt and we hope to find unexplored new ones.
